A brown nesting box on a post: A modern take on elegance and bird conservation
A minimalist design and a matt brown finish. This hand-turned wooden nesting box is a response to the growing need to care for nature within carefully designed spaces. It combines austere geometry with practical functionality, aligning with the trend for conscious eco-design.
The design was created with modern gardens, the green courtyards of prestigious residential estates, and relaxation areas at hotels and spas in mind. The box provides a safe haven for smaller bird species, whilst also serving as a sculptural accent that harmonises perfectly with minimalist architecture.
In harmony with nature and understated design:
- Deep, matt brown: A uniform finish with no visible grain gives the structure a refined, monolithic character. This colour scheme harmonises naturally with the earth and tree bark, blending seamlessly into the background. The structure does not dominate the garden’s greenery, but complements it in a discreet, elegant manner.
- Guaranteed safe nesting (height 200 cm): The total length of the wooden post deliberately keeps the nest off the ground. This makes it difficult for domestic and wild predators to access it, ensuring the birds have sufficient distance and peace whilst rearing their chicks.
- Entrance hole (3 cm): The precisely measured diameter of the entrance acts as a well-thought-out barrier. It allows only smaller species – titmice, sparrows, tree sparrows and blue tits – to enter, protecting them from interference by larger birds.
- Sturdy, non-invasive installation: A dedicated 32 cm steel anchor allows the post to be firmly and securely anchored in the ground. The whole structure sits firmly on the ground, withstanding stronger gusts of wind.
Providing a safe nesting place for local birds can go hand in hand with thoughtful spatial design, without compromising on aesthetics. Order a brown wooden nesting box and create a bird-friendly environment, whilst highlighting the high standard of your surroundings.
